“Fado Amália”, “Lágrima”, “Estranha Forma de Vida”, “Barco Negro” and “Casa Portuguesa” are some of the fados that make up this unprecedented concert that revisits themes from Amália’s vast repertoire. Solo, in duet or in unison, several fadistas, accompanied by a classic formation of fado musicians, interpret the great fados that are part of the collective memory of the Portuguese. This is a concert with an original fado format, in which musicians and fadistas remain on stage to sing and to hear “CANTAR AMÁLIA”.

After selling out the Olympia in Paris and the Cidade das Artes in Brazil, the show “Cantar Amália” will stop in Toronto for a live performance on May 20, enshrining the name of Amália Rodrigues and fado, the song of Portugal .
